·         In order to request the authorities of the university to modify the syllabus and to streamline the procedures, our faculty members discuss and submit their recommendations. Thus, our faculty members take part, indirectly, in the affairs of the University.

·         Delivering of topics beyond syllabus & utilizing lab facilities for practical work.

·         Guiding students for competitive exams like GATE, GRE etc.,

·         Preparing students for technical seminars and improvement of soft skills. 

v  Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good Governance 

In our institution, we have formulated a methodology by which exchange of opinions for better governance is established. 

·         Meetings of all the staff members with the Chairman of the organization are held once in an year.

·         Chairman of the organization and the Principal of the institution discuss the matters related to the college at least once in two days.

·         Principal convenes the meetings with Heads of the Departments at least once in a month.

·         At the Department level, HoDs conduct meetings with faculty members at least once in a month.

·         At the Department level, HoDs conduct meeting with the non-teaching staff members twice in an year.

·         At the Department level, prevailing Proctorial system gives a scope to express the feelings & opinions of students.

·         Open door policy, inviting suggestions for improvement

·         Norms & Procedures stipulated by the Acharya Nagarjuna University and AICTE are followed for good governance.

Feedback from students for each faculty member and for each subject is periodically obtained in prescribed format.  Subsequent analysis of the feedback and the corrective steps are taken periodically.

Open door policy is being followed. Students and Staff can meet the Principal any time to sort out their problems.  E-mail IDs of Principal, HoDs, Training & Placement Officer, Administrative Officer, NSS Programme Officer have been circulated to staff and students for their grievance redressal.

Text Box: Admissions are in progress through the State Government – APSCHE – EAMCET – Convener. It is expected that the process of admissions will continue till possibly 3rd week of September 2009 (However, Govt, of A.P. would announce the date in due course of time). A.P.S.C.H.E – has given guide-lines for admissions under Management quota. Accordingly advertisements were released in four News papers calling applications for admissions under Management quota. The procedure that is stipulated & also being followed is that the received applications are sorted strictly in order of merit. Entire list of applications and the order of merit are notified on the website (www.svhce.org.in) and also on the notice board.

 

 

Calendar for admission against management/

      vacant seats:

-          Last date for request for applications.

-          Last date for submission of application.

-          Dates for announcing final results.

-          Release of admission list (main list and waiting         

             list should be announced on the same day)                    

Date for acceptance by the candidate (time given      

                should in no case be less than 15 days)

Central Examination Facility

                   Examination Cell is available under the supervision of a Head of the Department and the Principal.  

Teaching Learning process  

1.    Faculty members prepare detailed notes, copies of which are kept in the departmental library and main library. Students are allowed to make photo copies of the detailed notes. This process makes the faculty members prepare the notes more carefully.

Lesson plans and teaching diaries reflecting the periodic coverage and justification of syllabus are monitored by HoDs.

2.    We have a panel of visiting professors and Scientists who are invited periodically to deliver special lectures are advanced topics.

3.    Periodic tests and assignments are conducted to evaluate the students.

4.    Evaluation of the teachers is done periodically by the students, enabling the teachers rectify their mistakes, if any.

5.    Specious exclusive library building, equipped with good books, is available. Library is equipped with photocopier too. Library is kept open even beyond the college hours.

6.    2 MBPS internet facility is used to have an access to technical e-journals, even beyond the college hours.

7.    Well-equipped laboratories are fully utilised by the students during the class hours and at times even beyond the class hours.

Ø  Internal Continuous Evaluation System and place  

The following is the procedure laid down by the University and is being followed by us. Each theory paper carries 100 marks of which 70 marks are earmarked for Semester end examination and 30 marks are for internal assessment to be awarded by the teacher concerned or the basis of two mid term tests for 18 marks, 12 marks for assignments. Out of two internal tests best of the two will be taken.  50% internal marks are compulsory for permitting a student to take university examination. 

Ø  Students assessment of Faculty, System in place. 

Students’ assessment of each faculty and for each subject is taken in the prescribed format, semester wise. The data is analyzed and steps are taken for improvement.
