Rules & Regulations :
Attendance: Regular courses of study means a minimum average attendance of 75% in all the subjects computed by
totaling the no of hours/periods of lectures, design and/or drawing,
practical's held in every subject as the denominator and the total no of hours/periods attended by the student in all the subjects, as the numerator.
Conditions of shortage in attendance may be recommended on genuine medical
grounds, up to the maximum of 10% provided the students puts in at least 65% attendance as calculated above and provided the principal is satisfied with the genuineness of the reasons and the conduct of the student.
Conditions for Promotion: A Student shall be eligible for promotion to II/IV B.Tech. Courses if he/she satisfies the minimum requirements of attendance and sessional marks as stipulated in clauses 5 and 7, irrespective of the number of backlog subjects.
A student shall be eligible for promotion to III/IV B.Tech. If he/she has passed all subjects of I B.Tech., except any two subjects in addition to satisfying the minimum requirements of
attendance and session marks of II/IV B.Tech, stipulated in clauses 5 and 7.
A student shall be eligible for promotion to IV/IV B.Tech.If he/she has passed all subjects of I B.Tech.,except any one subject in 1st year and two subjects in second year I & II
semester put together in addition to satisfying the minimum requirements of
attendance and sessional marks of III/IV B.Tech., as stipulated in clauses 5 and 7.
Conditions for Pass: A Student shall be declared to have passed the University examination in individual subjects if he/she secures a minimum of 40% marks in theory and drawing subjects, and 50% marks in Practical subjects (including Project Viva-voce)
Transitory Regulations: Candidates who studied the four-year B.Tech. Degree course under new Regulations (NR)/Revised regulations (RR) but who got detained in any year for want of
attendance/minimum aggregate sessional marks may join the appropriate year/semester in the semester system applicable for the batch and be governed by the regulations of that batch from then on.
University examination according to Regulations (NR)/Revised regulations (RR) shall be conducted in subjects of each year five times after the conduct of the last set of regular examinations under those regulations
Amendments To Regulations: The university may, from time to time, revise, amend or change the Regulations, Schemes of Examinations and Syllabi
